First bitten by her pet Kinkajou and now a DUI while supposedly on a mission to get a hamburger.  Is it wrong that I get a little kick out of her having a little trouble in her pampered life?  I want to see the mug shot. :-D
4th-Sep-2006 01:22 am - shopping withdrawl
I've put myself on fabric punishment for a month now.  I have bins (bins!) full of fabric that I haven't designated for any partcular project, I just have it.  So, I cannot justify buying more.  It hasn't been too painful unitl last week.  I got a email from a friend of mine that had 8 - 40% coupons in her Joann's fabric mailing and she couldn't use them all herself.  A gift from the gods!  A flyer goof in her favor.  OH!  the temptation!  But I didn't take her up on her offer.  I'm being good... for now.
14th-Aug-2006 05:45 am - de-cluttering
I'm in a de-clutter mode.  I took a ride down to the local Goodwill this weekend and donated a haul. Some 10+books, a tv stand, 2 fans and some curtains, etc.  The attendant there asked me if the fans worked, of course!  What heartless S.O.B. would donate something that didn't work?  Apparently it happens. Way to help out dude, NOT!   There are still lots more I need to donate/sell/purge but its a start.
I'm being influenced by my good friend Dawn, (a fellow crafty chick).  She's been consistently de-cluttering for at least a month now. A great deal of it excellent craft stuff she didn't have opportunity to use.  I got a print Gocco from her, now to figure out how to use it. :-)

For those looking for craft supplies, she has has a lot of 9 handbag handles listed on Ebay
and other stuff listed on etsy.

11th-Jul-2006 12:50 am - Inside the Room of your Soul quiz
What Your Soul Really Looks Like
You are a warm hearted and open minded person. It's easy for you to forgive and forget. You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds. You believe that people see you as larger than life and important. While this is true, they also think you're a bit full of yourself. Your near future is still unknown, and a little scary. You'll get through wild times - and you'll textually enjoy it. For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust.
6th-Jun-2006 12:22 am - new handbag
I have a new handbag listed on Soleil Rouge. YAY! It features authentic Mali, West African mudcloth.

For those that don't know what goes into making mudcloth, it’s a loong process.
The Mali men hand spin and loom weave the cotton into 5 to 9 strips of cotton. These strips are then sewn together to create a panel and boiled to shrink it down to size. Then the mudcloth design and dyeing is handled by the Malian women. The panel goes through a process of 2-3 mud "dye" layers, then dried in the sun to ferment for up to a year! Symbols are then painted on and washed and dried in different natural herb and leaf solutions (depending on each Malian artists' technique) to set the design that can take several weeks from start to finish. No panel is ever the same and each tells a story through the symbols on the cloth such as family history/status, proverbs, etc. The mud cloth I used in this design features the symbol depicting good fortune/wealth and the symbol representing a spindle (the 3 lines) a traditional mudcloth design.

14th-Mar-2006 02:51 am - I'm looking for a belt buckle...
I usually don't watch the shows on the Style Network, but I found myself this past lazy sunday watching the show "How do I Look". Anywho, I saw the coolest skull belt in one of the coordinated "new look" outfits. So, I immediately got online to stylenetwork.com looking for a list of the stores they shopped to pull together the outfits. NOTHING!! They don't list any of the stores they went to. I looked everywhere and I cannot find this belt. Anyone see the show (episode 55) and have a clue who makes it? I am obsessed! I-Must-Have-It!
